History:

Gordon Nelson Inc.’s 1540 Haro Street apartment building was built in the 1950’s. It is located in Vancouver’s West End district. In February 2012, Gordon Nelson Inc. bought the building, which was run down and in need of renovation and restoration.

Restoration and Renovation:

Gordon Nelson Inc. is completing a restoration and renovation of the existing units of this 1950’s three-story apartment building.  The building includes a mix of studio, junior one and full one bedroom units plus a two bedroom penthouse with entertainment sized deck.

On the interior, all units will have its kitchen cabinets painted and countertops and sinks restored.

The living space will be bright and open and new laminate flooring with sound matt underlay for sound absorption, new baseboards added, new hardware on all doors, new modern lighting, new 2″ venetian blinds and new paint throughout.

In the bathroom new mirrored vanity cabinets will be added. The toilet will be replaced with a new modern low flow model and a new pedestal sink with a designer Delta faucet. The walls will be re-painted and bathtub surround retiled.  The building’s plumbing was completely re-piped in 1998.

Interior common area highlights include drywall repairs, new paint throughout and new baseboards and lighting.

All of Gordon Nelson Inc. apartment buildings are pet friendly, including dogs. Heat and hot water is included in rent.
