Giving Back

The Gordon Nelson Give Back Program is an initiative aimed at connecting tenants with their community by encouraging involvement in local organisations in need of support. Gordon Nelson has chosen four organisations; Gordon Neighbourhood House, West End Senior Network, First Baptist Church Shelter and West End–Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre. These organisations are working in different ways to help make the West End a better place to live. A rent reduction of up to $150 per year is available to all tenants who participate.

To participate in the program tenants select an organisation to volunteer with for a minimum of two hours once every four months. Tenants are required to submit an online form (include link) and one photo (“selfie”) of them participating in the event. Once sent to Gordon Nelson and verified, the qualified tenant will receive a $50 reduction in their following months rent. Total annual reductions may not exceed $150 per unit. Many tenants are happy to know that we are one of the few buildings in the West End to allow not just cats but dogs as well. Pets are apart of many families and we welcome them accordingly.

Our buildings score right along side Manhattan neighborhoods: Tribeca, SoHo, Little Italy and Greenich Village and San Francisco neighborhoods: Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Mission and Chinatown.

Amenities such as parks, beaches, shopping, entertainment, rapid transit, hospitals, schools and the downtown financial district are all within minutes of our buildings. The West End, in our humble opinion, is one of the great neighborhoods in the world. Where else in the world can you find a 1,000 acre park and miles of sandy beaches literally within 15 minutes walk?

Environmentally Friendly

All of our buildings offer tenants recycling bins which are collected and recycled each week. In addition, our 1057 Barclay Street and 1133 Barclay Street buildings have brand new state-of-the-art IBC Technologies ultra high efficiency boilers. These on demand boilers dramatically lowered energy consumption and green house gas emissions. All of our buildings incandescent and energy inefficient lights have been replaced with compact fluorescent and LED lights lowering energy consumption. Our 1057 Barclay Street and 1133 Barclay Street buildings windows have new double glazed, energy star rated windows. Flexible Rent Payment Options

We offer tenants the option to pay by the following convenient methods: online bank transfer (free) and email money transfer (free depending on banking plan).

Flexible Leases

Should your living arrangements change or you wish to upgrade or change apartments, with at least one calendar month written notice we offer reduced lease break fees. Work with our team of property managers to find the right apartment for you within one of our buildings.

Security

All of our buildings have state-of-the-art security cameras throughout to protect our tenants and their belongings from theft or harm.

Special Rates with Zipcar
